Manipur to Host Barak Festival 2025 from December 12
Manipur is set to host the 4th State Level Barak Festival 2025 from December 12 to 14, celebrating the cultural richness and communal harmony of the region. The festival will take place at Zilipou in Senapati District, under the theme “Heritage in Harmony.”
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired a key meeting of the festival’s organising committee on Friday evening at Lok Bhavan (formerly Raj Bhavan), Imphal. The meeting reviewed essential components of the upcoming event, including budget allocation, programme schedules, transportation arrangements, promotion strategies, and broader plans to position the Barak Festival as a major tourist attraction.
Senior officials—including the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioner, and Superintendent of Police of Senapati District—along with local stakeholders, took part in detailed discussions to ensure smooth and successful festival execution.
