16-Year-Old Girl Raped on her birthday in UP’s Hardoi
Police reported that two young men were taken into custody in Hardoi on Saturday for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl on her birthday.
Circle Officer Ankit Mishra confirmed that the girl’s father lodged a complaint on September 12, accusing two neighbours, Rustam (19) and Priyanshu (19), of tricking his daughter with a birthday celebration before sexually assaulting her in a secluded spot.
According to the CO, police interrogation revealed that the accused already knew the victim beforehand.
Based on the father’s complaint, authorities registered a case and arrested the two youths.
Further inquiries into the matter are currently ongoing, the Circle Officer added.
