CONGRESS’ MEGHACHANDRA CALLS FOR DISSOLUTION OF MANIPUR ASSEMBLY

Imphal, October 13: Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Meghachandra Keisham has called for the immediate dissolution of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, citing the BJP’s failure to form a functional government and address the state’s growing crises.

Addressing a press conference, Meghachandra alleged that the ruling party has neglected its duties to protect the people, generate employment for youth, and ensure effective governance. He said the ongoing political deadlock reflects the BJP’s incompetence and loss of public trust.

He further urged the Governor to take necessary steps to restore democratic functioning in the state by calling for fresh elections.
