Delhi: Two Men Arrested for Raping 13-Year-Old After Forcing Her to Drink Alcohol

Two men, including a bank employee, have been arrested for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl after forcing her to consume alcohol in outer north Delhi, police said on Thursday.

According to officials, the incident occurred on December 20 in the Raja Vihar area. The accused— identified as Rishabh, a bank employee, and Narottam, a local salon owner-allegedly lured the minor to an empty house, where they forced her to drink alcohol before sexually assaulting her.

Police said they received a call the same evening after the girl returned home, with her father informing them that she appeared intoxicated.

During further inquiry and after recording the victim’s statement, police uncovered the serious nature of the crime.

“During subsequent enquiry and recording of the victim’s statement, a more serious offence was revealed,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami.

A case was registered the following day under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Both accused were arrested on Thursday, and further investigation is underway.
