Student (14) Found Dead at Jiribam Higher Secondary School Relief Camp

A tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning when a 14-year-old student residing at the Jiribam Higher Secondary School relief camp was found dead under suspicious circumstances.

The deceased has been identified as Yurembam Angamba Singh, son of Y. Romio Singh, and a Class IX student from Lamtai Khunou, Borobekra. According to reports, his body was discovered around 2:00 AM at the cycle parking stand inside the school campus, where many displaced families have been taking shelter.

Local residents immediately informed the police after finding the boy unresponsive. A police team soon arrived, cordoned off the area, and shifted the body for necessary legal and medical procedures.

Authorities confirmed that an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause of death. A post-mortem examination along with other forensic tests will be conducted. The family has been notified of the tragic development.

The incident has left camp residents and the local community in deep shock, with many calling for a thorough inquiry to bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death.
