Two Kuki-Zo MLAs Set to Attend Oath Ceremony in Imphal, Cabinet Induction Likely
Two Kuki-Zo MLAs — L.M. Khaute and Ngursanglur Sanate — are expected to land in Imphal to attend the forthcoming oath-taking ceremony, where they are likely to be inducted into the Manipur Cabinet, sources said.
Their arrival would mark a significant moment, as Kuki-Zo legislators have not entered the Imphal Valley for over two years due to prevailing security concerns.
Sources also indicated that top BJP leaders, including National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Sambit Patra, N Biren Singh, Awangbow Newmai, and M Rameshwar, are expected to travel alongside the two MLAs.
The development comes amid renewed political activity in Manipur, as the state looks toward restoring stability and inclusive governance.
