Drunk Creta Driver Drags Royal Enfield for 500 Metres on Christmas Eve in Bengaluru

A shocking incident of drunk driving was reported from Bengaluru on Christmas Eve, where a Hyundai Creta allegedly dragged a Royal Enfield motorcycle for nearly 500 metres after a collision on the Ring Road. The biker sustained injuries in the accident, while the driver was later assaulted by members of the public and handed over to the police.

The incident occurred on the evening of December 24, when Srinivasa KV (38) was reportedly driving the car in a rash and negligent manner under the influence of alcohol. According to police, at around 7:15 pm, the car rammed into a motorcycle from behind.

The rider, Rohit S, was travelling from Sumanahalli flyover towards Nagarabhavi Circle when he was thrown off the bike due to the impact. He suffered injuries to his chest, legs, and hands and is currently undergoing medical treatment.

Following the collision, Rohit’s Royal Enfield became lodged under the car and was dragged for about half a kilometre, causing severe damage to the motorcycle. Dashcam footage from a vehicle following the Creta captured sparks flying from beneath the car as it continued moving with the bike stuck underneath.

After the incident, enraged bystanders stopped the vehicle, thrashed the driver, and later handed him over to the police for further legal action.
