Deputy CM Losii Dikho Abstains From Cabinet Meeting

Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur Losii Dikho has clarified that he abstained from the Cabinet Meeting held at the Civil Secretariat on September 10, following the collective understanding and position of the Naga Legislators’ Forum.

Dikho said his decision was influenced by the prevailing circumstances and the participation of Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen in the meeting. He stated that, respecting the sentiments of the Naga legislators and the Naga people, he considered it appropriate to refrain from attending.

He also expressed concern over the continued lack of justice in connection with the deaths of six Naga civilians and alleged that authorities have failed to take adequate action.

Dikho stressed that his absence from the Cabinet meeting should not be viewed as a lack of commitment to his official responsibilities. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Manipur and working towards peace, unity, understanding and harmonious coexistence among all communities.
