Senior KCP Leader Arrested in Delhi, Arms and Ammunition Recovered in Manipur Operation

Security forces have arrested a senior leader of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) during a joint operation in New Delhi, officials confirmed.

The arrested individual has been identified as Haobijam Dilip Singh, who was allegedly apprehended by a combined team of the Delhi Police Special Cell, Manipur Police, and central intelligence agencies.

According to security officials, Singh had reportedly travelled to the national capital to attend a secret meeting when he was intercepted and arrested by the security team.

Authorities stated that the accused is wanted in more than 12 criminal cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and other related legal provisions linked to insurgent activities.

Following the arrest, investigators reportedly obtained crucial information during interrogation, leading security forces to launch a follow-up search operation in Kakching district of Manipur.

During the operation, officials recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, and other materials suspected to be associated with militant activities. The seized items reportedly included weapons, ammunition, tarpaulin sheets, plastic bags, coloured backpacks, and a Redmi 13C mobile phone.
