HM Govindas Konthoujam Holds Key Meeting on IDP Rehabilitation

Govindas Konthoujam chaired a key meeting on Monday at the DC Bishnupur Conference Hall to review rehabilitation and security measures for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by the ongoing unrest in Bishnupur district and Churachandpur district.

The meeting was attended by MLAs Th. Basantakumar Singh, Irengbam Nalini Devi, Tongbram Robindro Singh, and Sanasam Premchandra Singh, along with Additional Director General of Police L. Kailun and district officials from both districts.

Discussions focused on the safe and peaceful return of displaced families, strengthening security arrangements, rehabilitation planning, and welfare measures for those staying in relief camps.

Officials also reviewed steps aimed at restoring normalcy and improving coordination between the administration and security agencies in sensitive areas.

The government reiterated its commitment to ensuring peace, stability, and communal harmony while facilitating the rehabilitation and resettlement process for affected residents across the region.
